How much are sessions and how can we pay?
We charge termly, and the exact price depends on the number of weeks in the term. If you join after the first class, our booking system automatically adjusts the price for the remaining weeks.
Payment can be made securely by card through our booking link, which always shows the most up-to-date prices.
What time and how long are sessions?
We currently run two days a week Thursday after school and Saturday morning/ afternoon, and all classes are 45 minutes long.
Our program is divided into three age groups:
Tiny Jitz Preschool | Ages 3 – 4
Tiny Jitz | Ages 4 – 7
Jr. Jitz | Ages 8 – 12

How do we know if we’ll like it?
You’re welcome to book a free trial class to see if Tiny Jitz Preschool, Tiny Jitz or Jr. Jitz is the right fit for your child.
No prior experience is required – children of all skill levels are welcome.
What do children need to bring/wear?
For the first class, please have your child wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle. All children must be registered before participating.
Tiny Jitz Preschool (ages 3 – 4) / Tiny Jitz (ages 4 – 7): We provide a branded Gi, which includes a closed-top kimono and velcro belt – perfect for these age groups.
Jr. Jitz (ages 8 -12): Children will wear a standard BJJ kimono and belt.

Who is the coach and what are their qualifications?
All sessions are delivered by Nathan Jones, an experienced martial arts instructor working with early years since 2014. Nathan is a dual black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing and a professional MMA fighter.
Nathan has been a member of the Richmond community for many years, working as a full-time youth worker and family support worker. He holds an MA in Youth Work and Community Learning & Development and has applied this expertise across various community settings.
In addition to running Tiny Jitz and Jr. Jitz, Nathan is the Lead Instructor for the youth programme at Elevate Martial Arts and undertakes collaborative work with Achieving for Children.

All coaches and support staff have a valid and cleared DBS.
Do you do single drop-in sessions?
We do not offer single drop-in sessions. Classes are booked termly, and the booking system adjusts fees if you join partway through a term.
You can book a free trial class if you’d like to try a session before committing.
Do you teach fighting?
Our classes focus on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts skills in a safe, age-appropriate environment.
We do not teach competitive fighting – all activities are designed to build confidence, coordination, fitness, and self-discipline.
Do I have to stay or can I leave my child?
Parents are welcome to stay during the class, but it’s not required.
Children are supervised by qualified instructors and support staff throughout the session, so you can feel confident leaving them in our care.
I’m interested in you running Tiny Jitz / Junior Jitz at my club or school. Are you open to discussing this further?
Yes. We are open to partnerships with nurseries, schools or clubs to deliver our Tiny Jitz Preschool, Tiny Jitz and Jr. Jitz programmes.
